What was found in the investigation of the viral post regarding Siddhivinayak temple?
To know the truth of the viral post, we searched on Google with keywords, but we did not find any such report in which this claim was confirmed. After this, we searched the X handle of Sakal Media because the claim was going viral in its name only. A post dated November 18 was found on the X handle of Sakal Media, in which the viral claim has been refuted. Sakal Media has written that a misleading post is being shared using the name of their institute.

During the investigation, a statement from the Waqf Board was also found, in which they have denied the viral claim. On November 19, a report was published on the website of BBC Marathi regarding the statement of Maharashtra Waqf Board CEO Junaid Syed. Junaid Syed said, ‘We do not know from where such information has been spread. We have neither made any such claim nor shared anything that Siddhvinayak Temple is our property. The Waqf Board has not made any such official claim and there is no discussion regarding it.

Treasurer of Siddhivinayak Temple and Vice President of Mumbai unit of Bharatiya Janata Party, Pawan Tripathi has also denied the viral claim. He has termed the claims of Waqf Board as misleading. He said in his statement, ‘There is faith in Shri Siddhivinayak Temple, hence no board can capture the temple. This is a temple for all Ganesh devotees and will remain a temple for all Ganesh devotees. Investigation shows that the viral claim is false.
