Senior Citizen FD: Before the Reserve Bank of India increased the repo rate for the fifth time, some banks had increased the interest of Fixed Deposit. Now the rate of fixed deposit is expected to increase again. Talking about FD Interest Rate, banks are currently offering 5 to 8 percent interest.

If you are also planning to invest in Fixed Deposit (Invest in FD), then here are two such banks, which can give you up to 9% interest on FD. However, this interest is being given to senior citizens by the Small Finance Bank.

Unity Small Finance Bank: Unity Small Finance Bank

According to the bank’s website, the bank is giving 4.5 to 9 percent interest on FD to senior citizens. The bank has given 9 percent interest for certain tenures. The bank is paying an interest of 9 per cent per annum only on tenure of 181 days and 501 days. Apart from this, common citizens can avail interest benefit of 8.50 percent for the same tenure. This interest will be given to the citizens on an annual basis.

Suryoday Small Finance Bank: Suryoday Small Finance Bank FD

Senior citizens are given an interest of 9.59 percent on this special tenure FD offered by the bank. The tenure of this FD is for 5 years. At the same time, FD rates for the common citizen on the same tenure are 9 percent. According to the bank’s website, the rate of FD was increased on 6th December. After this increase, the bank is giving 4 percent to 9 percent interest to the common people. At the same time, maximum interest ranging from 4.50 percent to 9.59 percent is being given to senior citizens on FD.

At least 8 percent and maximum 8.75 percent interest is being given on Utkarsh Small Finance Bank FD. At the same time, Ujjivan Small Finance Bank is giving a maximum interest of 8 percent for common citizens and 8.75 percent for senior citizens. Similarly, Shivalik Small Finance Bank is offering interest ranging from 7.50 per cent to 8 per cent.
