Imran Khan Arrest News: There has been a ruckus in Pakistan since the arrest of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) President and former Prime Minister Imran Khan. PTI lawyer Faisal Chowdhary confirmed the arrest of Imran Khan. This arrest took place during his appearance in the Islamabad High Court. He was arrested by the Pakistan Rangers at the behest of the National Accountability Bureau. After the arrest of Khan, the Chief Justice of Islamabad High Court has expressed his displeasure.

According to a report in Dawn.com, after the arrest of Imran Khan, the Chief Justice of the Islamabad High Court summoned the IG of Islamabad and the Interior Secretary in this matter within 15 minutes. Later, during the hearing, the officials of the National Accountability Bureau and the lawyer were also summoned. Justice Farooq said come to the court and tell us why and in what case Imran has been arrested?

IG and Interior Secretary reprimanded

The Islamabad IG and the Interior Secretary appeared in the court after being summoned by the Chief Justice. As soon as both of them arrived, the judge expressed his displeasure and said that we had asked you to appear in the court within 15 minutes, but you came after 45 minutes. The IG of Islamabad replied in the court that he had come to know about Imran’s arrest from the media. He told the judge that Imran Khan has been arrested in a corruption case. During this, the IG presented the arrest warrant of the PTI chief before the court.

On IG’s reply, Justice Farooq said that as far as I know Imran was not arrested by NAB. He further said that if the law has really been violated during the arrest, then the court will take necessary action.

Advocate Ali Gauhar told the whole story

After this, lawyer Ali Gauhar told the whole story in front of the court. Ali Gauhar was present at the time of Imran Khan’s arrest. He told that the Pakistan Rangers reached in front of the biometric court and asked the security personnel present inside to open the door. Soon after, they broke the windows outside and forcibly entered inside. The lawyer claimed that they were trying to arrest the PTI chief even before he entered the biometric room. But this could not happen.

The Rangers entered the room, forcefully lifted Imran Khan sitting on a wheelchair, misbehaved with him. Rangers hurt his injured leg. According to Ali Gauhar, Imran Khan also fell while leaving the room. After this he said that he is ready to record his statement in the court in this regard.

At the same time, PTI’s lawyer Khwaja Haris said that justice is the right of every citizen. They said that Imran Khan His arrest is nothing less than an attack on judicial independence. Why did the National Accountability Bureau choose the Rangers instead of the police to arrest them?

The dignity of the court was damaged: Chief Justice

In the end, the Chief Justice expressed his displeasure in front of the IG and the Home Secretary and said that today not only the doors and windows of the court have been damaged. The dignity of this building has been damaged. Who is responsible for it? Justice Farooq said that the whole matter is related to the ‘system’. All this would not have been possible without the connivance of the system. The judge also summoned the director general of NAB Rawalpindi and the prosecutor general of the watchdog and directed them to appear before the court within 30 minutes.
