Maharashtra Politics Crisis: The political earthquake in Maharashtra has shaken the politics of the whole country. Meanwhile, factions of NCP leaders Sharad Pawar and Ajit Pawar have announced their show of strength on Wednesday (July 5). At present, in the ongoing tussle in the NCP, nephew Ajit Pawar seems to be overshadowing his uncle Sharad Pawar in terms of numbers.
Chhagan Bhujbal, who attended Ajit Pawar’s meeting, claimed that he has the support of 40 MLAs. According to the information, about 29 MLAs are seen in Ajit Pawar’s meeting. At the same time, similar claims are being made by Sharad Pawar’s camp as well. However, despite the claim, so far only 12 MLAs have come to the meeting of Sharad Pawar.
Nephew over uncle in numbers
This is also surprising because a whip was issued by both the factions regarding the meeting of NCP MLAs. In this situation, if any camp has less MLAs in the meeting, then its claim on NCP will automatically be weakened. In simple words, today it will be decided whether Sharad Pawar, who is called Chanakya of politics, remains dominant in NCP or whether nephew Ajit Pawar has been accepted by the MLAs as the future of the party.
It is necessary for MLAs to come on whip
The NCP has a total of 53 MLAs in the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly. Most of whom are currently seen standing in support of Ajit Pawar’s faction. Meeting of Sharad Pawar camp is being held at YB Chavan Centre. Party’s Chief Whip Jitendra Awhad has issued a whip for Sharad Pawar’s meeting, in which all the MLAs have been asked to be present in the meeting. At the same time, Ajit Pawar has issued a whip for the MLAs of his camp.
