Navjot Singh Sidhu was sentenced to one year by the court on 19 May 2022 in a 1990 road rage case. After which he was lodged in Patiala jail. But today, about 48 days ago, he has been released from jail. It is said that according to the jail rules, prisoners are given 4 days leave every month. During the sentence of one year, Sidhu did not take a single day off, due to which he was released early.
Wife did an emotional post
Sidhu’s wife Navjot Kaur had posted two emotional posts on Friday before going for cancer operation. Navjot Kaur had written that she had sought death from God to teach Sidhu a lesson. Her husband’s love for Punjab had put her beyond any attachment. He further wrote that ‘waited for you, saw you being deprived of justice again and again. But truth is so powerful that it tests you again and again. I’m sorry, can’t wait for you, because this is the second deadly stage of cancer. Today I am going for surgery.
