Tirupati Laddu Controversy: The controversy over the sanctity and purity of the Laddu Prasadam of the world famous Tirupati temple located in Andhra Pradesh is growing. The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) has claimed that the previous government had used substandard material and animal fat in making a sacred sweet i.e. the world famous Tirupati Laddu.
Meanwhile, the Andhra Pradesh government has now come into action regarding this matter. The Andhra Pradesh government has directed the Executive Officer (EO) of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) to submit a detailed report on the ghee controversy over the Laddu Prasadam of Tirumala temple.

Now the Andhra Pradesh government is seen in action regarding this matter. The Andhra Pradesh government has directed the Executive Officer (EO) of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) to submit a detailed report on the ghee controversy over the Laddu Prasadam of Tirumala temple. Apart from this, the EO of TTD can meet Chandrababu today. After this meeting, he will give a report to CM Chandrababu Naidu. The government will take further action on the basis of the report in consultation with the leaders of the Vedic and Religious Council.
The government may decide to perform temple purification and consecration rituals based on the suggestions and report given by the leaders of the religious council. The Andhra Pradesh government is planning to move ahead based on the recommendations of the council.

YSRCP chief and former Andhra Pradesh CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on Tirupati Laddu Prasadam controversy: “Finally, I am writing a letter to the Prime Minister himself. I am also writing a letter to the Chief Justice of India. I am explaining to him how Chandrababu Naidu has distorted the facts and why no action should be taken against him for doing so.”
