Maharashtra Crime News: A sensational case of cheating a woman by making obscene video and photo has come to light in Nagpur. On Sunday (April 7), on the complaint of the victim, the police registered a case against the accused Shyam Supatkar under sections like rape, extortion and others. After the case was registered, efforts to arrest the accused have intensified. According to the police, the woman had come in contact with the accused four years ago. The accused had created a fake account on Facebook in the name of Shyam Verma. Describing himself as an Air Force officer, he had talked about posting in Gujarat.
Fraud of four lakhs by making obscene video of a woman
Both became friends on social media. Finally both of them decided to meet each other. Police say that during the meeting, Shyam Supatkar allegedly gave intoxicating substance to the woman. The woman became unconscious after consuming intoxicating substance. While unconscious, the accused made obscene photos and videos of the woman. Supatkar extorted Rs 4 lakh from the woman by threatening to make the photos and videos viral on social media.
Hoaxed on Facebook by creating a fake account
The woman alleges that Supatkar threatened to release the video and photos on social media if his demands were not fulfilled. Due to fear of defamation, the demand of the accused had to be fulfilled. The accused took away Rs 4 lakh cash and gold and silver jewellery. The woman came to know that she had become a victim of fraud by a fake Air Force officer. In the complaint given to the police, the woman has given details of the incident. On the complaint of the woman, the police registered the case. The accused who defrauded a woman by posing as an Air Force officer has not been arrested yet.
