Prajwal Revanna Obscene Video Case: A case of sexual harassment has been registered against Prajwal Revanna, the sitting Janata Dal Secular (JDS) MP and candidate from Hassan seat of Karnataka, who was involved in controversies over obscene videos. It is said that many obscene videos of Prajwal Revanna have surfaced.

Many big revelations have been made in the FIR against Prajwal Revanna. It has been said that JDS MPs are allegedly seen misbehaving with many women. However, Revanna has rejected all the allegations calling this viral video morphed.

Sent obscene videos to domestic help’s daughter also

The woman who complained about the objectionable video said in the FIR that Prajwal Revanna did not even spare her daughter. The JDS MP’s domestic help said in her complaint that Revanna used to make video calls to her daughter and talk obscenely. According to the FIR, when the daughter refused, he started sending obscene videos continuously, on which the daughter blocked the number.

What are the allegations in the FIR?

In the FIR registered by the police, it has been said that Prajwal used to call Revanna to his room 4 months after starting work in the house. There were 6 female employees in the house and they used to get scared when Prajwal came home. In the FIR, serious allegations have also been made against Prajwal’s father HD Revanna.

Women used to hide as soon as Prajwal arrived

It was said in the complaint that Revanna used to call alone when his wife was not present. Also, on the pretext of giving fruits, they used to touch inappropriately. At the same time, the fear of Prajwal Revanna among women was such that as soon as he arrived, women used to hide in the store room. The male employees of the house had also asked the women to be cautious.

Under which sections was the case registered against Revanna family?

Father-son duo HD Revanna and Prajwal Revanna have been booked under sections 354A (attempt to touch a woman inappropriately), 354D (obscene gesture towards a woman, obscene remarks, stalking), 506 (threat to kill) and 509. A case has been registered under (outraging the dignity of a woman). The father-son duo has been accused of sexual exploitation from 2019 to 2022.

Karnataka government formed SIT

Karnataka government led by Siddaramaiah has formed SIT in this case of obscene video. This team includes ADGP VK Singh, CID DG Suman D Pennekar and IPS Seema Latkar.

Pen drive and about 3000 porn videos

On December 8, 2023, BJP leader Deveraj Gowda, while writing a letter to the state president, made serious allegations against the Deve Gowda family including Prajwal Revanna. In this letter it was claimed that a pen drive had been found. It was claimed that 2976 obscene videos were found in this pen drive. Also, Prajwal Revanna was accused of blackmailing women.

Who is Prajwal Revanna?

Prajwal Revanna is the grandson of former PM HD Deve Gowda. He is the nephew of former Karnataka CM HD Kumaraswamy. Prajwal, son of Deve Gowda’s son HD Revanna, is an MP from Hassan in Karnataka and is the NDA candidate from the same seat. It is noteworthy that he has also lodged a complaint with the police in this matter. Prajwal Revanna has gone to Germany as soon as the voting for Hassan seat ends on April 26.
