Sitamarhi Murder: In Sitamarhi, fearless miscreants shot dead a chief. The incident took place on Wednesday (November 20) night between 8.30 and 9 pm. The deceased chief has been identified as Munna Mishra. He was the head of Kachor Panchayat of Kanhauli police station area. He and his wife were coming by car from the village to their residence in Sitamarhi city. Meanwhile, miscreants opened fire on his car near Hariharpur village of Riga police station area. The chief died on the spot.
Chief Munna Mishra has been hit by five bullets. However, his wife narrowly escaped in this incident. As soon as information about the incident was received, the family members and well-wishers of the chief reached the spot. Within no time a crowd of hundreds gathered. The family took Munna Mishra to a private nursing home where he was declared dead.
Stones thrown at car, firing when it slowed down
After interrogating the chief’s wife, some information will be available about the number of miscreants and how they came. It was told that the miscreants first threw stones at the car and when the car slowed down, they started firing.
After receiving information about the incident, the police has started investigating the matter. Police from other police stations including Sadar DSP reached the spot. The reason behind the murder has not been revealed yet. After the incident, the family members are in bad condition and crying.
Sadar DSP Ram Krishna said that at quarter to nine in the evening (Wednesday), information was received that Chief Munna Mishra had been shot by unknown criminals. Five rounds were fired. He was brought to the local private hospital where doctors declared him dead. The body has been brought to Sadar Hospital for post-mortem. FSL team has also arrived. His wife is not in a position to speak right now. On whether any gang is involved, he said that it is too early to say anything.
