Muhurat Trading 2024: The festival of Diwali was celebrated with great pomp across the country and the world on 31 October. The stock markets remained open on the day of Diwali and closed with a big fall. There is a Diwali holiday in the Indian stock market today i.e. 1st November and the 1-hour Muhurat trading session has started from 6 pm to 7 pm. Following the old pattern on Muhurat trading, the market once again opened with a big jump today. Today BSE Sensex opened with a gain of 634.69 points at 80,023.75 points and Nifty opened with a gain of 97.40 points at 24,302.75 points.
Shares of 28 out of 30 Sensex companies opened in the green.
At the start of Muhurta trading today, shares of 28 out of 30 Sensex companies opened in the green with gains while shares of 2 companies opened in the red with losses. Similarly, the shares of 45 out of 50 companies of Nifty 50 also opened in the green mark with a rise and the shares of the remaining 5 companies opened in the red mark with a fall.
Mahindra & Mahindra shares fell the most
At the start of trading, shares of Mahindra & Mahindra, included in the Sensex companies, opened today with the highest increase of 3.22 percent. Shares of Tata Motors opened with a gain of 1.36 percent, IndusInd Bank 1.29 percent, Axis Bank 1.25 percent, Kotak Mahindra Bank 1.03 percent, Bajaj Finserv 1.03 percent, Titan 1.01 percent, NTPC shares opened with a gain of 1.00 percent.
Shares of these companies also opened with profit
Apart from these, Maruti Suzuki, Tata Steel, UltraTech Cement, Asian Paints, Bajaj Finance, Nestle India, Reliance Industries, ITC, Bharti Airtel, State Bank of India, Adani Ports, TCS, JSW Steel, Tech Mahindra, HCL Tech, Larsen & Toubro, Shares of Power Grid, Hindustan Unilever, HDFC Bank and Infosys opened in the green with gains.
On the other hand, Sun Pharma shares fell by 0.37 per cent and ICICI Bank shares fell by 0.12 per cent to open with losses.
