MPs were asking for resignation when Justin Trudeau made a big announcement, is Canada PM stepping down?

Justin Trudeau Big Announcement on Resignation: Not only Indians but also Canadian MPs are angry with the Canadian PM due to the deteriorating relations with India. They are continuously demanding the resignation of Justin Trudeau. In such a situation, it was believed that due to increasing pressure, Trudeau might resign before the next elections, but now the Canadian PM has made a big announcement. After this announcement by Trudeau, all kinds of speculations have now come to an end.

Actually, Justin Trudeau does not want to lose his power under any circumstances. For this reason he is meeting angry MPs. On Wednesday, he held a meeting with the angry MPs of his party for three hours. Trudeau has held this meeting at a time when 24 MPs of his own party have signed a letter demanding him to step down before the elections.

Trudeau said after the meeting, “I am talking to everyone.” We will move forward stronger together. I have a huge majority of 153 Liberal Party members in the House of Commons. I am ready for the fourth time.” It is clear from his statement that he will contest the next elections and at present he has no intention of resigning.

When are the elections in Canada?

Elections will be held in Canada next year. Federal elections may be held in October next year. Canada is not only in the news because of the dispute with Barat, but Trudeau’s government is also surrounded by issues like rising inflation and immigration in the country.

Baseless allegations against India

In his first reaction to New Delhi’s recall from Canada amid Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s ongoing hostility towards India, senior diplomat and High Commissioner Sanjay Kumar Verma described the allegations made by Ottawa as “politically motivated”.

No evidence was presented by the Canadian government regarding India’s alleged involvement in the killing of Khalistani separatist Hardeep Singh Nijjar last year.

“Nothing. No evidence was presented. This is politically motivated,” Verma told Canada’s CTV before leaving the country. Earlier this week, India had decided to recall its High Commissioner and other diplomats and officials from Canada.
