MP Tariq Anwar expressed grief over the murder of Baba Siddiqui. He said, “Baba Siddiqui was a senior Congress leader at one time. He had recently joined NCP (Ajit Pawar faction). I can say that he was a grassroots leader. If he became a councillor, became an MLA and then became a minister, then we can say that He was a capable person in every way and was popular in his field. It is sad that a person holding such a high position was attacked in broad daylight, he lost his life.”
