Actually Shawwal is falling on 3rd Sunday. Because of this, public and private sector employees in the UAE will return to work from Monday, 24 April. This is because the official holidays were from Ramzan 29 (April 20) to the third day of Shawwal. Eid Al Fitr marks the end of the Islamic month of fasting.
Along with this, it also marks the beginning of the 10th month of Shawwal. It marks the end of fasting and marks the beginning of the tenth month of Shawwal according to the Islamic calendar. In the United Arab Emirates, it is celebrated with dazzling fireworks.
