Joe Biden and Mohammad Yunus Met : There has been a change of power in India’s neighbor Bangladesh. After Sheikh Hasina stepped down, a new interim government has been formed there, in which Mohammad Yunus has been made the chief advisor. Mohammad Yunus recently met US President Joe Biden. In the official press note issued after this meeting, it was informed that Biden has said to give full support to the interim government of Bangladesh.
What issues were discussed between Biden and Mohammad Yunus
Mohammad Yunus, who arrived at the United Nations General Assembly, met the US President in New York. According to the press report issued by the Chief Advisor’s office, the Biden government will give full support to the Mohammad Yunus government. Apart from this, Joe Biden said that if students can sacrifice so much for their country, then they should help a little more.
Let us tell you that earlier on September 15, a high level US delegation had met Mohammad Yunus in Dhaka. In the meeting held that day, economic expansion and political relations between the two countries were discussed.
America is being accused of power change
In Bangladesh, a student movement against quota in government jobs started in August. This movement became violent with time. The matter became so big that the government had to take the help of the army. Due to this movement, the then Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina had to resign and she had to come to India to save her life. She is in India, but there is a possibility that the new government of Bangladesh may try to extradite her. Many experts are blaming the US for this change of power.
