Modi government has given a big gift to farmers on Diwali. The government has increased the MSP of Rabi crops. The Central Government has announced an increase in the Minimum Support Price (MSP) of 6 Rabi crops for the 2025-26 season. Under this decision, the MSP of different crops has been increased, so that farmers will be able to get better prices for their crops.
As per the new notification:
- The MSP of wheat has been increased to ₹2,425 per quintal, which was earlier ₹2,275.
- MSP of barley has been increased to ₹1,980 per quintal, which was earlier ₹1,850.
- The MSP of gram has been increased to ₹5,650 per quintal, which was earlier ₹5,440.
- The MSP of lentils has been increased to ₹6,700 per quintal, which was earlier ₹6,425.
- The MSP of mustard has been increased to ₹5,950 per quintal, which was earlier ₹5,650.
- The MSP of safflower has been increased to ₹ 5,940 per quintal, which was earlier ₹ 5,800.
This step of the government has been taken with the aim of providing fair prices to the farmers for their crops.
