Mehbooba Mufti On Poonch Attack: Former Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir and PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti on Saturday (April 29) raised serious questions on the central government. He said that a few days ago an unfortunate incident took place in Poonch in which 5 of our soldiers were martyred.
PDP President Mehbooba Mufti surrounded the Center on the Pulwama attack citing the recent interview of former Jammu and Kashmir Governor Satya Pal Malik. He said that Satyapal Malik had said that the government tried to hide the Pulwama attack. The question should be asked that how did the Poonch terror attack happen in such a safe area.
How can someone commit suicide in custody?
Questioning the Jammu and Kashmir administration, Mufti said, “People are being arrested, tortured and interrogated here in connection with the Poonch terror attack. A person named Mukhtar Shah was arrested earlier. But later it was said that he committed suicide in police custody. How can one commit suicide in custody?
People are being harassed – Mufti
Mehbooba Mufti said that Mukhtar Shah’s family says that he was picked up from home. NIA and other agencies also raided his house, the house was ransacked. After this a video surfaced in which he says that his family and other people are being harassed. How did Shah himself record the video? It was clearly recorded by someone else.
Dozens of people in NIA custody
The former Chief Minister further said that at present there are many other injured who are admitted in the hospital, they have been picked up for questioning. Dozens are in the custody of army, police and NIA. The people of Poonch are friendly and always stand for the right things.
Let us tell you that on April 20, terrorists attacked an army truck in Poonch, Jammu and Kashmir. Five army soldiers were martyred in this attack. Now the security forces have launched a massive search operation to trace the terrorists. So far, about dozens of people have been detained for questioning in this case.
