Meerut News Today: On Thursday (November 5) in Meerut, a woman died after the lift of Capital Hospital broke and fell. After this incident, questions started being raised about illegal hospitals in the area. Samajwadi Party MLA Atul Pradhan had given an ultimatum of 10 days to the CMO, warning him to raise this issue in the Assembly.
Now, in this matter, Meerut CMO Dr Ashok Kataria has taken major action and canceled the license of the hospital. He said that the incident that happened at Capital Hospital is sad. Initial investigation has revealed that the lift got stuck while moving, due to which this incident occurred.
Hospital license suspended
CMO Dr Ashok Kataria told that the deceased had undergone delivery operation in the hospital yesterday itself and had given birth to a daughter. He told that the woman was being shifted from OT to the ward with the help of a lift. During this time, two hospital employees were also with them, they also got injured in the accident.
Regarding the action on Capital Hospital, CMO Dr Ashok Kataria said, the entire matter will be investigated by the medical department and administration as to why such an incident happened? He said that at present the license of Capital Hospital has been suspended by the department till further orders, while other things related to NOC of the hospital have been found to be valid. This license was given under the rules.
Earlier, SP MLA Atul Pradhan had alleged that there are many hospitals here which do not have NOC. Regarding this, CMO Dr Ashok Kataria said that today the order has been given to all the hospitals that if they have lifts then they should get the maintenance done within seven days. He said that at present 306 private hospitals are operating in Meerut and they have complete papers.
The lift was repaired 10 days ago
On the other hand, after the lift of Capital Hospital broke down, the family members of the deceased woman created a ruckus. The family members alleged that the woman died due to negligence. According to the information received, the hospital lift was repaired 10 days ago. The lift had fallen due to broken wire, due to which the woman died.
The family members of the deceased have filed a complaint against the hospital. In this matter, the administration has ordered the police and health department to investigate against Capital Hospital.
What is the matter?
Let us tell you that on Thursday (6 December) evening, the lift of Capital Hospital broke down in Lohia Nagar police station area of Meerut. At the time of the accident, the hospital staff was shifting the female patient to the ward. The woman had given birth to a daughter shortly before the incident. The woman died in this accident, while the hospital staff were also injured.
Earlier, Samajwadi Party MLA Atul Pradhan had warned to raise the entire matter in the Assembly also. They had surrounded CMO Dr Ashok Kataria, demanding strict action against the hospital and strict action against careless people.
SP MLA from Sardhana Atul Pradhan has given an ultimatum of 10 days to CMO Dr Ashok Kataria to take action in the matter. Samajwadi Party MLA Atul Pradhan said that whoever is hearing about this incident is heartbroken.
