Pakistan: The ruckus that started after the arrest of Imran Khan in Pakistan is not taking the name of stopping. The people sitting in the government are furious after Imran Khan got bail from the Supreme Court. Maulana Fazlur Rehman, who joined the government after Khan got bail, has announced to start a sit-in outside the Supreme Court. On which the Government of Pakistan itself has objected.
The government itself has urged Maulana Fazlur Rehman to change the place of his planned dharna from outside the Supreme Court. Significantly, Maulana has announced a peaceful protest outside the top court on Monday (tomorrow) against Chief Justice Umar Ata Bandial. Announcing the strike, Fazlur Rehman said that the party workers will register their protest on Monday against the judicial support to Imran Khan.
Government made special appeal
After Maulana’s announcement, Pakistan’s Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah and Finance Minister Ishaq Dar met him and urged him not to sit outside the apex court to prevent further tension in the country. Dar said that the government wanted Maulana to stage a sit-in at a place other than the Supreme Court.
Fazlur Rahman announced
It may be noted that after the arrest of former Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan on May 9, there were violent demonstrations across the country. PTI supporters attacked military installations. The army described it as a black day in the history of Pakistan.
