Ghulam Nabi Azad on Congress: Democratic Azad Party chief Ghulam Nabi Azad launched a scathing attack on Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday (April 5) at the launch of his autobiography. Azad said in a conversation with ABP News that Manmohan Singh was angry with Rahul Gandhi for tearing the ordinance and wanted to quit. Azad said that if that law had remained in place today, Rahul Gandhi’s membership would have remained.
Azad further said that Rahul was not the President, yet the ordinance was withdrawn because of him. However, Azad could not give any answer to the question that why did he not raise his voice then? He said that Manmohan Singh should not have bowed down to Rahul, then the cabinet was weak. Former Jammu and Kashmir CM Azad said that we had brought the ordinance that at some point or the other it would be used against us. Because sometimes another party can also be in power. At that time he tore it. At that time the cabinet was weak. The then cabinet should have stuck to its decision.
“You made holes in your own walls, now…”
Azad said in a poetic way that you yourself made holes in your walls, now if someone is peeping then what is the noise. Azad further said that when you are in Congress, you are spineless. Azad raised questions even after the leaders went to the Surat court along with Rahul Gandhi. He also said that he left the Congress because of Rahul Gandhi. Azad himself was a cabinet minister in the UPA government.
“BJP can be like Congress”
Earlier in the day on Wednesday, Azad had targeted the Congress and said that we do not abuse Modi and BJP after waking up for 24 hours. The world has failed in foreign policy, but India has succeeded. BJP will have to improve in some things, otherwise they may also be in the same condition as Congress. The process of sabotaging the assemblies has to be stopped. Azad had said that there are some shortcomings in all political parties, there have been some shortcomings in the Congress too. I hope that the Congress party corrects those mistakes, moves forward and plays the role of a national party.
Congress leaders hit back at Azad
Congress has also retaliated against Ghulam Nabi Azad. Congress leader Pawan Kheda said that the party which made a worker (Ghulam Nabi Azad) such a big leader and today he is cursing the same party. He has broken the trust of the party. When he had left the party, he had said that today I have become free. So we are sure that you have become a slave, not free.
#WATCH, Whatever Azad is saying, it is a clear-cut deal with BJP. If you want something from BJP, their first condition is to abuse Rahul Gandhi…..people are with Rahul Gandhi, he doesn’t need the support of Jyotiraditya Scindia or Ghulam Nabi Azad: Cong MP KC Venugopal pic.twitter.com/hSJvrEgO4v

Congress general secretary K.C. Venugopal said that what Ghulam Nabi Azad is saying is a clear deal with the BJP. If you want something from BJP, then their first condition is to insult Rahul Gandhi. Say whatever they want to say, the country has seen what Rahul Gandhi is, there is no need for Azad certificate for Rahul Gandhi.
“Don’t know what was the compulsion of slavery”
Congress leader Supriya Shrinate also attacked Azad, saying that rent has to be paid even for a luxurious government bungalow in Delhi and when his book is about to be released, it is bound to remain in controversy and headlines. They were very free, don’t know what was the compulsion of slavery?
