Ingredients of Makhana Kheer
- Full cream milk – 3 cups
- Makhana – half cup
- Saffron – 2 to 3
- sugar – as per taste
- Cashews, almonds, pistachios – finely chopped
- Cardamom powder – one teaspoon
- Ghee – 2 tbsp
How to make Makhana Kheer
- First of all, put ghee in a pan and fry the makhanas lightly.
- After this, pour milk in another pan and boil it.
- When the milk boils, add Makhana to it.
- Now add cashews, almonds and pistachios to it and mix well.
- Now cook it till it becomes thick. Keep in mind that during this time it has to be kept running continuously.
- After this add cardamom powder and sugar and cook for some time.
- When the kheer becomes thick, turn off the gas.
- Garnish saffron on top.
