First Pod Tax of India: A new mode of transport is going to run in the country. This is a pod taxi, the report of which has been prepared. It will be run in Noida, Uttar Pradesh and will connect Film City to Jewar Airport. This will be the longest route in the world. A report prepared by the Indian Port Rail and Ropeway Corporation Limited (IPRRCL) states that it will be 14.6 km long.

Apart from this, the committee of PPP project has also studied this project. Before its approval, it has been said that a study should be done in the countries where pod taxis are running.
how much will it cost
Its construction will be started only after getting approval from the Uttar Pradesh government. This project will be completed by the end of 2024. 810 crore will be spent in preparing this project. Pod Taxi will connect Film City to Noida Jewar Airport.
37 thousand passengers will be able to travel in a day
According to the prepared project, the work of carrying a large number of passengers will be done by pod taxi. About 37 thousand passengers will be able to travel by pod taxi every day.

Pod taxis will also cover the industrial sector between Film City and Jewar Airport. It will have about 12 stations, including Sector 29, Handicraft Park, MSME Park, Apparel Park, Sector 32, Sector 33, Toy Park and Sector 21 etc.
Pod Taxi operates in 18 countries
According to the project, pod taxi was started in 18 countries of the world. Although at present it is operated in only 5 countries. Citing reports from 2011-12, officials said London’s pod taxis were running profitably while Abu Dhabi’s project was running at a loss.
