Jitu Patwari on Indore Lok Sabha Elections 2024: Madhya Pradesh Congress Committee President Jitu Patwari has accepted that Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate Shankar Lalwani will win the elections in Indore, but he has still appealed to the public to press the NOTA button. He said, “A message should go to the top of the public regarding the manner in which an attempt has been made to murder democracy in Indore.”
PCC Chief Jitu Patwari is continuously appealing to the people in Indore to press NOTA button. Meanwhile, he has also accepted that Bharatiya Janata Party candidate Shankar Lalwani has won. Voting is to be held in Indore on 13th. Even before this, the largest opposition party has accepted defeat. The path of BJP had become easier after Congress candidate Akshay Kanti Bam supported BJP, but now Congress leaders are openly accepting this.
What will happen if NOTA gets the maximum votes?
Congress is appealing to the people in Indore to press NOTA button. Now the question arises that if NOTA gets more votes than any candidate on any seat in the country, then what effect does it have on the results? According to the Election Commission, NOTA vote is considered in the void category. If 100 percent votes go to NOTA then the election process is repeated. This is absolutely not possible here. If a candidate gets even one vote, he is considered to have won. Thus, NOTA votes will always go in the category of canceled votes.
‘Will win not only Indore but 29 seats’- BJP
According to BJP state spokesperson Ashish Aggarwal, Jitu Patwari has accepted defeat not only in Indore but on many seats in the state. The morale of Congress candidates has also been broken. After the election results on June 4, Congress will be completely disintegrated. It is welcome that Jitu Patwari has accepted defeat on Indore Lok Sabha seat.
