Governments run many schemes to help farmers in India, one such scheme is ‘Pashu Kisan Credit Cart Yojana’, under which farmers get loans up to Rs 1,80,000 without guarantee on animal credit cards. This scheme was started especially for those rural farmers who also do animal husbandry. With the help of this scheme, they can take loan to buy even cow, buffalo, chicken and goat.
What documents will be needed to take a loan
Any farmer who wants to take loan for animal husbandry can apply under this scheme. If farmers want, they can apply for this through offline and online medium. If you want to apply offline, then you will have to bring a form from your nearest bank and fill it with necessary documents and submit it. Talking about the documents required for this, these include- health certificate of animals, loan on insured animals, loan on purchase of animals, bank’s credit score / loan history, applicant’s Aadhaar card, PAN card, voter ID card, mobile number and Passport size photo will be taken.
Loan is available at very low rate
The best thing with the loan available under this scheme is that you have to pay only 4% interest in it. Whereas if you take a loan from private banks for animal husbandry, then you have to pay up to 7% interest.
How much loan is available on which animals
Under this scheme different amount is available on different animals. For example, you get a loan of up to 40,000 thousand on a cow. While on buffalo you get loan up to 60000 thousand. On the other hand, you get a loan of above 4000 on sheep and goat and you get a loan of above 700 rupees on hen. On the other hand, if someone wants to buy a pig, then for this he gets a loan of more than 16000 rupees.
