IND vs AUS 2nd Test: The second Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy between India and Australia will be played at the Adelaide Oval in Adelaide. The competition will start from today i.e. 6th December, Friday. This will be a pink ball day-night test. The first Test of the series was played in Perth, which was played with red ball. In the Perth Test, Team India won by 295 runs.
Now the Indian team would like to take a 2-0 lead in the series by winning in Adelaide. Changes will be seen in the playing eleven of Team India in the second test. Team’s regular captain Rohit Sharma was not available in the Perth Test. Apart from this, star batsman Shubman Gill was also not a part of the playing eleven of the first test.
Jasprit Bumrah took the captaincy in place of Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul took the responsibility of opening in his place. Now after his return, Rohit Sharma will take command of Team India. However, only KL Rahul will be seen at the opening. In the press conference held a day before the Adelaide Test, Rohit Sharma had confirmed that KL Rahul will handle the responsibility of opening.
It remains to be seen at what number Gill will play in the Adelaide Test. Gill could not play in the Perth Test due to a thumb injury. Gill plays at number three, where Devdutt Padikkal was seen playing in the first Test.
Warm up match was played in Canberra
The Indian team played a two-day pink ball warm-up match against Australia’s Prime Minister’s XI in Canberra. The first day of the match was lost to rain. Then on the second day both the teams played a match of 46-46 overs. Through this match, the Indian team got a chance to practice the match with pink ball. Now it will be interesting to see how Team India performs with the pink ball in Adelaide.
