‘Lal Salaam, give 50 lakhs…’, Union Minister Sanjay Seth created panic after receiving threat message

MP Threatened: Sanjay Seth, the country’s Minister of State for Defense and MP from Ranchi Lok Sabha seat, has received a threat of extortion of Rs 50 lakh. The threatening message came on his mobile at around 4 pm on Friday (6th December) in which the person making the threat ended the message by writing “Lal Salaam”. According to the information, this message was sent from an unknown number. After this, Sanjay Seth lodged a complaint regarding this matter in a police station in Delhi.

Seeing the seriousness of the matter, MP Sanjay Seth decided to stay in Delhi and canceled his Ranchi tour. Senior officers and DCP of Delhi Police met him and took detailed information about the incident. Besides, information about this incident has also been given to the DGP of Jharkhand.

Police is investigating the matter seriously

MP Sanjay Seth told the media that the police has started investigation to identify the person who made the threat. He said that he is alert about the matter and hopes that soon the accused who made the threat will be arrested.

Such incidents have happened before also

It is being told that such incidents have happened before also. Recently, Bihar MP Pappu Yadav and Bollywood actor Salman Khan were also given death threats. In the case of Pappu Yadav, it was later revealed that the threat was given by his supporters. These incidents raise the question that there is a need to further strengthen the security system.
