Harshit did not get a place in the main squad. However, he has been kept in traveling reserve. In such a situation, it seems very difficult for Harshit to debut for Team India by 31st October.
KKR will benefit
Harshit plays for Kolkata Knight Riders in IPL. In such a situation, KKR has been able to retain him as an uncapped player before the mega auction of IPL 2025. According to media reports, teams will be able to retain uncapped players for Rs 4 crore. Teams will be allowed to retain a maximum of 2 uncapped players. In such a situation, Harshit can prove beneficial for KKR. Now it will be interesting to see how KKR adds Harshit to its team.
Harshit did wonders in IPL 2024
Harshit played 13 matches in IPL 2024. In 11 innings of these matches, he took 19 wickets at an average of 20.15, in which his best was 3/24. During this period, Harshit had spent runs at an economy of 9.08.
If we talk about Harshit’s overall IPL career, he has played 21 matches in the tournament so far. In 19 innings of these matches, Harshit has taken 25 wickets at an average of 23.24. During this period he spent runs at an economy of 9.05.
