According to the report, Syed Muhammad Askari, senior reporter of Daily Jung, has been kidnapped from Karachi. After which there has been a stir in the media world of Pakistan.
According to the report of Geo News, Syed Muhammad Askari was returning from a party on Saturday night, when his car was stopped by some masked youths on Korangi Road, Karachi. Some of the kidnappers were in uniform while some were in plain clothes. After which the journalist introduced himself, but the kidnappers did not listen. The masked men first abused Syed Muhammad Askari, after which they beat him up and abducted him.

An eyewitness to the incident with the journalist claimed that a police mobile and a white vehicle stopped Askari’s car near Qayyumabad KPT interchange on Korangi Road on Saturday (May 8) night when the two were returning from a wedding.

When a friend of the abducted journalist told the police about the incident, the policemen did not take it seriously. Eventually the police postponed it by asking to contact the concerned police station. According to The News International, the whereabouts of the kidnapped journalist could not be known till the early hours of Sunday.
Police gave clarification
Rao Rafiq, SHO of Zaman Town police station was also informed about the incident, but he denied any knowledge. However, Korangi SSP Tariq Nawaz said that the incident is being investigated. Soon we will get success in this matter.
