Astrologer Anish Vyas told that, this year Kharmas will start from Sunday, 15th December. Whereas Dhanu Sankranti Surya Mool Nakshatra will start from 07:35 in the morning, Pratipada from 01:12 in the afternoon, Adra from 02:34. After this, on Tuesday, January 14, 2025, Sun will rise Uttarayan on Makar Sankranti in Pratipada midnight 03:19, Punarvasu Nakshatra at 10:27 in the morning and Kharmas will end.

Why do not auspicious works happen in Kharmas?

When Sun God enters the zodiac sign of Jupiter then Kharmas occurs. Kharmas lasts for as long as the Sun remains in Jupiter’s zodiac sign. The reason for this is that Sagittarius is the fiery sign of Lord Jupiter. Astrologer Anish Vyas explains that when the Sun transits into Sagittarius, the auspiciousness of Jupiter reduces. Situations worsen when the Sun is in the Sagittarius sign i.e. the fire house. Changes are also seen in the weather at this time. It is believed that auspicious works done at this time yield less auspicious results.

These tasks will not be done in Sagittarius Kharmas

• During the 30 days of Kharmas, marriage, engagement, entry into a new house, tonsure and all other auspicious activities will be prohibited. There is a religious belief that the work done during this period does not yield auspicious results.
• Construction of a new house, purchase of a new house, or starting any new work or business should not be done during Kharmas. This time is not considered auspicious for doing auspicious works.
• If you have to do any important work related to business or career, then it would be better to wait for 30 days. This time is also not good for new projects, new deals or big investments.
