Muslim Cattle Trader Murder: A Muslim businessman was beaten to death by alleged cow vigilantes in Ramanagara district of Karnataka. The incident is of Saturday (April 1). The deceased has been identified as Idris Pasha. In the case, the police have started the investigation by registering a case against the main suspect Puneet Kerehalli and others on the complaint of Idreesh’s family.
Idreesh Pasha, who traded cattle in Satnaur, Ramnagar, was found dead on Saturday under suspicious circumstances. Later, Pasha’s relatives protested over the dead body and demanded action against cow protector Puneet Kerehalli and others. Pasha’s family alleged that Puneet had demanded Rs 2 lakh and had asked to kill him if he did not give it.

According to the police FIR, a group of cow vigilantes stopped Pasha’s vehicle loaded with cattle. During this, Pasha told that he had bought the cattle from the local market and he also had the documents. Despite this Pasha was abused and told to go to Pakistan. Pasha was later chased down to a barge, in which he was assaulted and in which he was seriously injured and died.
Police registered the case
After the murder, the relatives and local people of Idreesh Pasha gathered at the spot, due to which tension spread there. On information, the police reached the spot and pacified the family members. The police took the dead body for postmortem after persuading the family members.
Based on the complaint, the police have registered a case of murder under section 302 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). Along with this, sections 343 (wrongful restraint) and 504 (intentional insult leading to breach of the peace) have also been imposed.
