Kanjhawala incident: The accused had hired the car from which the girl was dragged

Kanjhawala Case: There is an uproar regarding the Kanjhawala case in Delhi. As the investigation is progressing, more revelations are happening in the case. On the other hand, now the police have come to know that the Maruti Baleno with which this accident happened was taken on loan twice.

The owner of the car, Lokesh, gave his car to a person named Ashutosh, who gave it to his friends Amit and Deepak Khanna. In fact, in the FIR registered by the police, it has been said that the accused, who dragged the 20-year-old girl for several kilometres, confessed to being drunk during the accident. Also admitted that after hitting the woman who fell from the scooty, he got scared and tried to run away.

The accident happened at 2:30 in the night

According to the police, a girl named Anjali Singh was returning from work around 2 am when the incident happened. After falling off the scooty, his body got entangled in the undercarriage of the car and the accused dragged him away. At the time of the accident, among the five boys in the car, one Khanna, Manoj Mittal who is a local BJP leader Krishna, Mithun were aboard.

Police reached the owner from the number plate

The police came to know that a naked dead body of a woman was found in Jonti village, 13 km from the spot. The police tried to trace the owner from the number plate of the car. Lokesh told them that he had lent the car to Ashutosh who informed the police about the Khanna family. He said that both had taken the car from him in the evening.

The accused absconded leaving the dead body in the middle of the road

Deepak Khanna said in his statement that when he stopped near Jonti village, he saw that the body of the woman was trapped under the car. They left the dead body there and went back to Ashutosh’s house and left the car there.

I followed the car – local resident

Local resident Deepak Dahiya told NDTV in a statement that he saw the accident and the woman got trapped under the car. He shouted, asked them to stop the car and when they did not agree, he gave chase on his two-wheeler. He said that he also called up the police control room and informed the police, who did not pay any heed.
