Super senior citizens i.e. people above 80 years of age have the facility to submit life certificate from October 1 to November 30, 2024, while senior citizens above 60 years of age can submit life certificate between November 1 to November 30, 2024. If the elderly pensioners do not submit the life certificate by 30th November 2024, then they will stop receiving pension from the month of December. According to UIDAI’s FAQ, “Once the life certificate is updated in the pension system, the pension will be paid along with the outstanding amount on the next pension payment date. But the life certificate will not be credited for a period of three years or more.” If done, the pension will be released only after the approval of the competent authority through CPAO as per proper procedure.
