America: Another woman of Indian origin has got a place in the team of US President Joe Biden. Indian-American Neera Tandon has been selected by Joe Biden as his domestic policy advisor. Following Biden’s decision, Neera Tandon became the first Asian-American to lead the White House Advisory Council.
On Friday, Joe Biden said that I am happy to announce that we will get the benefit of Neera Tandon’s intellectual understanding, perseverance and hold on political matters. She will continue to formulate and implement my domestic policy. Significantly, Tandon has earlier served as Biden’s staff secretary during this term.
Biden said that Neera Tandon did a great job as his staff secretary. He responsibly processed all the paperwork that landed on the President’s desk. He said Tandon oversaw decision-making processes in the domestic, economic and national security teams.

Neera Tandon has 25 years of experience in public policy, has worked with three presidents, and headed one of the country’s largest think tanks for nearly a decade. Neera Tandon has been the former US Secretary of State and a close aide of Hillary Clinton, the Democratic candidate in the 2016 presidential election. Neera also helped pass the Affordable Care Act in the Obama administration.
