Rajasthan Crime News: Jodhpur court has sentenced the culprit to 3 years imprisonment in the case of molesting a minor. Along with the punishment, a fine of Rs 2,000 has also been imposed on the culprit. Special Public Prosecutor Shiv Prakash Bhati of POCSO Court said that the case was heard by Judge Dr. Surya Prakash Pareek. He said that if the fine amount is not paid, Tara Singh Munna will have to remain in jail for additional 15 days. Let us tell you that on October 24, 2020, the victim’s grandmother had submitted a written report in the police station. During that time, the election campaign for the councilor candidates of Jodhpur Municipal Corporation was going on.
Tara Singh Munna molested a 10 year old girl in the crowd. The elderly woman told that people gathered at the spot after Dohiti shouted. He rescued the girl from the beast. In the past too, the accused had molested a minor. On getting information about the incident, the brother caught the accused and beat him up. In the molestation case, the police presented the charge sheet before the court. 16 witnesses and 17 documents were presented by the prosecution.
Three years imprisonment in case of molestation of minor
The court was told that the victim is a minor. Strict punishment was demanded against the accused. The prosecution team said that it is important to send a message to the society. The defense side also took part in the debate. After hearing the arguments of both the parties, the court convicted the accused Tara Singh alias Munna son of Vijay Singh under various sections of the POCSO Act. Special Public Prosecutor Shiv Prakash Bhati of POCSO Court said that in the molestation case the culprit has been punished with three years imprisonment and a fine of Rs 2,000. For not paying the fine, the court ordered additional punishment of 15 days.
