Features of JF-17 Fighter Aircraft

The JF-17 Thunder is an advanced fighter jet aircraft. It is quite light in weight. At the same time, this fighter jet is capable of flying in all weather. This aircraft is capable of air-to-air and air-to-surface strikes. It has modern combat equipment and facilities, it is a multi role fighter aircraft. According to an officer of Pakistan Air Force, the flight test of this fighter jet has been completed. The official said that its first batch will become part of the Pakistan Airforce fleet by the end of March.

China and Pakistan have jointly developed

The JF-17 Thunder Block-3 is jointly developed by the Pakistan Aeronautical Complex (PAC) and China. The rollout ceremony of JF-Thunder Block III was held in December last year. It is being told that Pakistan is modernizing its Air Force in view of India buying 36 Rafale jets from France. Significantly, Pakistan and China started a project to build a latest fighter aircraft and in 2003 succeeded in producing the first JF-17 prototype aircraft. It was formally inducted into the Pakistan Air Force in 2007. It was being built entirely in PAC, which has so far built around 120 JF-17 Blocks I and II.
