Kota News: The examinations for the April session of JEE-Mains 2023 (JEE Mains-2023) conducted by the National Testing Agency started on Thursday. The level of question papers on the first day of April session remained the same as the question papers held in January session. Physics and Chemistry papers were easy, while Mathematics was difficult and lengthy as usual. Education expert Dev Sharma told that in the question papers of April 6, questions of column matching and assertion region were also asked like January attempt. Most of the questions in the question paper were fact and formula based.

In the morning shift question paper held on Thursday, a lot of questions were asked from Mechanics, Electrodynamics and Modern Physics. Questions were also asked from Gravitation, Circular Motion, Projectile Motion in Mechanics, Capacitors and Magnetic Effect of Current in Electrodynamics and Atomic Structure, Photo Electric Effect in Modern Physics and Communication System.
Paper was also easy in chemistry
Dev Sharma told that after discussing with the examinees, it was found that column matching type question related to name reactions in organic chemistry was asked. In this question Gattermann Kach, Helvolhard Jelinsky and Itrad reactions were asked. In Inorganic Chemistry, level questions were asked from Polymers, Chemistry in Everyday Life and Surface Chemistry. In Physical Chemistry, questions were asked from Solutions and Chemical Kinetics.
Mathematics remained difficult and long
According to the students, the Mathematics paper has traditionally been difficult and long. In Mathematics question paper general questions were asked from Complex numbers, Quadratic equations, Progressions. Dev Sharma told that in the question paper, questions were asked from all parts of Algebra, Calculus, Coordinate Geometry and Vector 3D.
There will be negative marking in objective type questions
Dev Sharma told that on the basis of the pre-announced pattern, a total of 90 questions were asked in the JEE Mains question paper. There were 30-30 questions from each subject in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. There were 20 objective type questions and 10 numerical response questions in each subject. Out of 10 questions of numeric response type, any 5 questions were to be attempted. Negative marking was +4/-1 in all the questions.
