Punjab News: Police action is on against ‘Waris Punjab De’ chief Amritpal Singh and his associates. The difficulties of Amritpal and his supporters are going to increase further. In the case of Ajnala incident, the police has presented a challan against 27 associates of Amritpal in the Ajnala court. The challan that has been presented is not against the main accused Amritpal Singh. Supplementary challan will be presented against Amritpal after some time. Let us tell you that Amritpal Singh and about 9 of his companions are lodged in Dibrugarh Jail in Assam.
Ajnala police station was attacked on February 23
Khalistani support Amritpal Singh had reached Ajnala police station with his supporters for the release of his colleague Lovepreet Singh Toofan. Amritpal took out a group from Jallukheda village with thousands of supporters under the guise of Shri Guru Granth Sahib and then attacked Ajnala police station. 6 policemen were also injured in this attack. And on February 24, 2023, the local court ordered the release of Lovepreet Singh. Police did not take any action against Amritpal in view of the atmosphere at that time.
Police had reached to arrest on March 18
On March 18, the Punjab Police arrived to arrest Amritpal Singh in connection with the attack on the Ajnala police station. But Amritpal escaped by dodging the police. After which the internet was shut down in many districts and a campaign was launched across the state to catch Amritpal. Amritpal Singh kept on running away by dodging the police. The police suspected that Amritpal had fled to Nepal or Pakistan. In search of him, raids were also conducted from Punjab to Haryana, Rajasthan, Delhi and Uttar Pradesh. But Amritpal remained a headache for the police for 35 days. Finally, after 36 days, Amritpal Singh was arrested from the Gurudwara of Rodewala village in Moga district. Many associates of Amritpal have also been arrested. All are lodged in Dibrugarh Jail in Assam.
