Iran claims to have made hypersonic missiles amid tensions with the US

Iran Hypersonic Missile: Iran claimed on Tuesday (June 6) that it has developed a hypersonic missile that can travel 15 times faster than the speed of sound. Iran’s state television Irana News Agency gave this information. The news agency said that the announcement of making missiles has come at a time when there is tension with the US regarding Tehran’s nuclear program.

The range of this hypersonic missile is 1,400 km. This means it can target any target of its 1400 km. It has also been claimed in the report that the missile can penetrate any missile security system.

Iran’s President Ibrahim Raisi, a hard-line paramilitary organization jointly launched the model of the missile. Its broadcast was shown in Iran’s TV. Iran’s Revolutionary Guard already has a huge stockpile of ballistic missiles.

Last year, General Amir Ali Hajizadeh of Iran’s Revolutionary Guard claimed that Iran has made a hypersonic missile. He also presented a proof regarding this. This claim was made at a time when nationwide protests took place after the death of 22-year-old Mahsa Amini in the month of September.

Russia claims to use missile
The specialty of hypersonic missile is that it flies 5 times faster than 5 Mach or the speed of sound. Due to its speed and maneuverability, the missile presents a significant challenge to the security system. Apart from this, Russia has already claimed to use hypersonic missiles against Ukraine in the war zone.
