Indore: New twist in the case of cheating American citizens through call center, now FBI came in the middle

Call Center Fraud Case: A new twist has come in the fraud case of crores of rupees from American citizens through international calls. American investigative agency FBI has sought a report from Indore Crime Branch. American officials discussed with Indore Crime Branch DCP Nimish Aggarwal over the phone for about 25 minutes. Let us tell you that a year and a half ago, Indore’s Vijay Nagar and Lasudia police arrested 23 people who had cheated through international calls.

Case of cheating US citizens through call centers

The accused used to introduce themselves as officers of the US Security Card Department through the call center in Indore and used to extort money from people in the name of being in the hands of drug trafficking, money laundering, anti national activity case. More than 100 US citizens had filed fraud complaints at the embassy. Taking action, the Crime Branch arrested 23 people about a year and a half ago. According to DCP Crime Nimish Aggarwal, one accused Karan Bhatt is still absconding. The manager of the call center, Joshi French, has died in the hospital from Kovid during the custody.

US investigative agency sought record of action from police

19 employees of the call center including IT head Jayaraj have got bail. He told that in the case, the American investigative agency FBI has sought the records of the accused. Crime Branch had also received data of one million American citizens from 6 call centers. The accused could easily commit fraud of more than ten lakh rupees in a single day. Now soon the American investigative agency FBI will interrogate the accused through video conferencing. It is worth noting that this is the first such case of cheating in Indore when the US investigative agency has sought a record of police action against the accused.
