India’s message to Pakistan, Rajnath Singh said at SCO summit – ‘Priority should be to deal with terrorism’

According to the news agency PTI, the Defense Minister said in this meeting, “If we want to make SCO a stronger and more credible international grouping, then our top priority should be to effectively deal with terrorism.” He further said, “India views SCO as an important organization to promote defense cooperation among member countries. As a nation, we want to further strengthen the spirit of trust and cooperation among SCO member states.

China’s Defense Minister Li Shangfu, Russia’s Sergei Shoigu, Tajikistan’s Colonel General Sherali Mirzo, Iran’s Brigadier General Mohammad Reza Gharai Ashtiani and Kazakhstan’s Defense Minister Colonel General Ruslan Zhaksilnikov attended the meeting in Delhi. At the same time, Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Khwaja Asif was to participate in the meeting in a virtual manner.

Officials associated with the preparations for the meeting said that it would focus on the regional security situation, including the developments in Afghanistan. He told that in order to effectively deal with terrorism and extremism, discussions will also be held on increasing cooperation among SCO member countries.
