Indian Olympic Association formed legal team, new CEO will be appointed soon

IOA Legal Team: The new office-bearers of the Indian Olympic Association have formed a dedicated legal team to deal with court cases in a professional manner. Actually, the legal screw is becoming an obstacle in the day-to-day functioning of the country’s nodal sports body. Also, the welfare of the athletes and their other work are getting affected. Because of this the Indian Olympic Association has taken this decision.

On Friday, the Indian Olympic Association issued a statement. According to this statement, it has been decided to re-appoint the current auditor Dinesh Mehta & Co. for the financial year 2022-23. Apart from this, a new auditor has also been appointed for internal forensic audit. So that, the works of the Indian Olympic Association can be dealt with in a better way. Actually, PT Usha, who was famous as ‘Payyoli Express’ and ‘Udan Pari’ in the past, was handed over the command of the Indian Olympic Association.

Significantly, in the 95-year history of IOA, she is the first Olympian and the first international medalist to become the president. With this one more achievement has been added to his achievements. Usha dominated Indian and Asian athletics for two decades before retiring in 2000. Usha is the first player to represent the country. Along with this, she is also the first player to become the IOA chief after Maharaja Yadvendra Singh. Yadvendra Singh played a Test match in 1934. He was the President of IOA from 1938 to 1960.
