Mood of the country: Amidst the political battle of Lok Sabha elections 2024, the riot in West Bengal is the most interesting. This is because in 2019 Lok Sabha Elections BJP, which won 18 out of 42 seats in the state, is trying its best to repeat its performance.
Whereas TMC wants to increase this number further by retaining the 22 seats won in the last elections. Congress also has control over two seats in the state. However, the survey data is telling a different story in Bengal.
BJP-TMC may get equal number of seats in Bengal
To understand the political mood of West Bengal, ABP News has conducted an election survey in collaboration with CVoter. There are indications that Congress will retain its two seats in the state. Out of the remaining 40 seats, BJP and TMC are likely to get equal number of 20-20 seats.
Talking about the data of ABP News C Voter Survey, the ruling TMC in the state can get 44 percent vote share. While BJP is likely to get 42 percent votes, Congress and Left parties are expected to get equal 6-6 percent votes. Candidates from other parties or independent candidates can get two percent vote share.
What is the political equation of Bengal?
Let us tell you that despite the opposition parties being a part of the India Alliance, the state Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s party Trinamool Congress has fielded candidates on all 42 seats in the state. On the other hand, the Left parties and Congress have not officially announced the alliance but are fielding candidates verbally indicating their support for each other. Both are avoiding fielding candidates on those seats where one of the parties has already fielded a candidate. BJP has fielded candidates on 39 out of 42 seats in the state and announcements on the remaining three may also be made soon.
Note: Lok Sabha election campaign is at its peak in the country. The election campaign for the first phase is ending on April 17. Before that, C Voter has conducted the country’s final opinion poll for ABP News. In this survey conducted from March 11 to April 12, opinions of 57 thousand 566 people were taken. The survey has been done on all 543 seats. The margin of error in the survey is plus minus 3 to plus minus 5 percent.
