India-Canada Tension: Canada is showing arrogance again! Decision to strictly check passengers coming to India

Canada Airport Security: Now strict provisions for security check have been implemented for passengers coming to India from Canada. Canada’s Transport Minister Anita Anand announced the move, calling it a “precautionary step.”

According to the report of CBC News, Air Canada has informed the passengers about this change. Passengers at Toronto Pearson International Airport are now facing more stringent security checks than ever before. The airport administration warned passengers through social media that the boarding process may take more time. Air Canada has appealed to passengers to reach the airport four hours before the flight.

Why did Canada take this step?

This step has been taken at a time when in October, an Air India flight was landed in Equator, Canada due to a bomb threat. However, no explosive material was found in the search. Apart from this, Khalistani terrorist and founder of ‘Sikhs for Justice’ Gurpatwant Singh Pannu had recently threatened Air India flights.

Diplomatic tension continues between India and Canada

There has been huge tension between India and Canada for the last several months, which increased after Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s statement in which he accused Indian agencies of being involved in the killing of Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar. India described these allegations as “baseless and motivated”.

The Royal Mounted Police of Canada has also accused Indian agencies of criminal activities in Canada, which further soured the relations between the two countries. Due to this dispute, both the countries have expelled their top diplomats.
