Was. He told that his child Yuvan is 20 months old and insists on going out, hence every possible effort is made to keep him indoors.
Aarushi says that it is very important to protect the children from the amount of pollution that is happening at the moment. Due to staying indoors, the screen time of the children has also increased. They were thinking of admitting their children but with the amount of pollution that is happening at the moment, There is a feeling of fear while sending the child out.
Aarushi Gupta told that her son Yuvan is unwell due to cold and chest infection and is given nebulizer vaporizer at home. Since there is a small child, a vaporizer is installed in the room so that he can take steam, which provides relief to the chest and reduces the risk of infection. Aarushi told that to avoid pollution inside the house, the windows and doors are kept closed. To give the visual drawing room the feel of an outdoor space, everything from slides to play toys have been arranged for the children.
‘Cases of infection have increased in children’
When we talked to Dr. Vishrut Singh on the problems children are facing due to pollution. He told that for the past one week, most of the children have been coming to the OPD. There are some cases which have to be admitted due to infection. Due to the increasing level of pollution in a week, the number of children in hospitals and clinics due to pollution problems has increased by almost 50 to 60%, which includes children aged between 6 months to 5 years. According to the doctor, because the respiratory tract of children is small and this is the reason that when there is infection in it, children are unable to breathe and many such patients are coming at this time who even have to be admitted.
‘See a doctor if symptoms appear’
Pediatrician Dr. Vishrut Singh said that children are facing more problems, whether the children have indoor or outdoor infections, children soon feel that their immunity also decreases. There is a need to take a well-balanced diet so that the immunity of the children remains good, but the most important thing is This means that if even a few symptoms are seen in children, then first of all take them to a good specialist doctor.
He further said that problems like cough, cold, difficulty in breathing and chest infection are the most common problems seen in children. The doctor says that do not use anything or any medicine sold in the market without consulting.
Increased sales of nebulizer and vaporizer
Priyansh Gupta, General Secretary of All India Chemists Association, said that due to increasing pollution in the last one week, the sales of nebulizers and vaporizers and related medicines have increased a lot. Cells have increased by approximately 40 to 50%. Out of 250 prescriptions being received a day, 150 are for nebulizer sprays, lung medicines and eye drops.
Apart from this, people are buying masks themselves in large quantities. Due to increasing pollution, parents are making every possible effort to save small children, while according to doctors, the maximum number of patients in a week are children. Sales of nebulizers, vaporizers and respills have increased at chemists.
