Prime minister Narendra Modi The intention was that through this scheme, water should reach every house through taps. Under the scheme, a lot of work was done in states like Punjab, Himachal, Maharashtra and Bihar. In Punjab where water is reaching 99.98 percent houses through taps, in Himachal 96.53 percent, in Bihar 95.78 percent, in Maharashtra also 72.31 percent water is reaching through taps, while Madhya Pradesh has proved to be a laggard in the implementation of the scheme. Under the scheme in Madhya Pradesh only 45.78 houses are getting water through taps.
The condition of the scheme in CM’s Janmabhoomi and Karmabhoomi
The condition of the scheme is also bad in Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan’s home district Sehore district and Karmabhoomi Vidisha district. In Sehore district, under this scheme, water was supplied to two lakh 32 thousand 351 houses through taps, but till now only one lakh 10 thousand 291 houses are getting water through taps. Similarly, a target of two lakh 11 thousand 315 was set for Vidisha district, while the scheme has reached only one lakh nine thousand 60 houses. 42.58 percent people are still very worried about drinking water.
