In Mussoorie, the District Magistrate reprimanded the officials, instructed to remove the encroachment immediately

Uttarakhand News: District Magistrate Dehradun Sonika Singh inspected Malroad and Rimpreeg Road along with all concerned department officials for the work being done for the reconstruction and beautification of Mussoorie Mall Road. On the other hand, the District Magistrate reprimanded the officials for the quality of road construction on Rimpreeg Road and the closure of drains. On this occasion, he instructed Municipal Executive Officer Rajesh Naithani to immediately remove encroachments on the roadside.

The District Magistrate said that it is being seen that in Mussoorie where people are getting vacant places, they are setting up shops by occupying them, which is wrong. He said that the municipality should identify important places for no vendor zones in Mussoorie which are important from the point of view of tourism. District Magistrate Dehradun instructed the officials of Public Works Department, Jal Nigam and Garhwal Jal Sansthan to work in harmony with each other.

District Magistrate Dehradun said that negligent officers will not be spared under any circumstances. He instructed SDM Mussoorie to make report cards of all the officers working for the reconstruction and beautification of Malroad, so that action could be taken against negligent officers. Talking to reporters, District Magistrate Dehradun said that the work of beautification and reconstruction of Mussoorie Mall Road will be completed on time. He said that the main work of reconstruction of Malrod would be completed before April 30, so that people do not face any problem during the tourist season. At the same time, beautification and other works will continue in the tourist season as well.

Action Plan made – District Magistrate
The District Magistrate told that the Mall Road is very old and work has been done on the Mall Road by different departments from time to time. The wires and other things under the road have been damaged due to the reconstruction of Malrod, due to which it is taking time. He said that no department has any data regarding the works done under the road, due to which the problem is coming. He said that an action plan has been chalked out after meeting with the officers of all the departments to complete the works of the Mall Road as soon as possible and work is being done accordingly.

These instructions were given to SDM Mussoorie
District Magistrate Sonika Singh instructed SDM Mussoorie Nandan Kumar to review and inspect the work of beautification and reconstruction of Mall Road from time to time, so that the work can be completed on time. He said that people’s complaints should also be taken note of, so that if the complaint is found correct, action can be taken according to the rules.
