Jharkhand Assembly Election 2024: BJP has released the first list of candidates for 66 seats on Saturday (October 19) for the Jharkhand Assembly elections. Tickets of many leaders have also been canceled. The party has canceled the tickets of four MLAs. Ujjwal Das has been given the ticket in place of sitting MLA Kishun Das from Simaria. Along with this, Dr. Jitu Charan Ram has been made the candidate from Kanke in place of Samri Lal.
Apart from this, Manju Devi has been made the candidate in place of Kedar Hazra from Jamua and his wife Tara Devi has been made the candidate in place of Indrajit Mahato in Sindri. It is being told that the ticket of the MLA of Simaria, Jamua and Kanke has been canceled on the basis of anti-incumbency report, while the MLA of Sindri has not been made a candidate due to his ill health.
Babulal Marandi will contest elections from Dhanwar
Party state president Babulal Marandi has been made the candidate from Dhanwar seat in Giridih district, former Chief Minister Champai Soren, who recently joined BJP, from Seraikela and Leader of Opposition in Jharkhand Assembly Amar Kumar Bauri has been made the candidate from Chandankiyari seat in Bokaro district.
Who got the ticket from where?
Purnima Das Sahu, daughter-in-law of former Jharkhand CM Raghuvar Das, has been made the candidate from Jamshedpur East and Meera Munda, wife of former CM Arjun Munda, has been made the candidate from Potka. Roshan Lal Chaudhary has been made the candidate for Barkagaon seat. Till now he has been contesting this seat on behalf of BJP’s ally AJSU. This time he will contest on BJP’s election symbol. Borio MLA Lobin Hembram, who recently left JMM and joined BJP, has been made the candidate from this seat, while Sita Soren has been fielded from Jamtara general seat.
Apart from these, Anant Ojha from Rajmahal, Babudhan Murmu from Littipara, Navneet Hembram from Maheshpur, Paritosh Soren from Shikaripada, Madhavchandra Mahato from Nala, Sunil Soren from Dumka, Suresh Murmu from Jama, Devendra Kunwar from Jarmundi, Ganga Narayan Singh from Madhupur, Sarath from Randhir Kumar Singh has made Narayan Das the candidate from Deoghar.
Apart from this, Devendranath Singh from Podaiyahat, Amit Kumar Mandal from Godda, Ashok Kumar Bhagat from Mahagama, Dr. Neera Yadav from Koderma, Amit Kumar Yadav from Barthi, Manoj Yadav from Barhi, Pradeep Prasad from Hazaribagh and Nagendra Mahato from Bagodar were fielded. Is. Muniya Devi from Gandey, Nirbhay Kumar Shahabadi from Giridih, Ravindra Pandey from Bermo, Biranchi Narayan from Bokaro, Aparna Sen Gupta from Nirsa, Raj Sinha from Dhanbad, Ragini Singh from Jharia have been fielded.
Shatrughan Mahato from Baghmara, Dr. Dineshanand Goswami from Baharagora, Geeta Balmuchhu from Chaibasa, Barkunwar Gagrai from Mazgaon, Geeta Koda from Jagarnathpur, Shashibhushan Samad from Chakradharpur, Sonaram Bodra from Kharsawan, Koche Munda from Torpa, Neelkanth Singh Munda from Khunti, Ramkumar Pahan, CP Singh from Ranchi and Naveen Jaiswal from Hatia have been given tickets.
Sunny Toppo from Mandar, Dr. Arun Oraon from Sisai, Sudarshan Bhagat from Gumla, Sameer Oraon from Bishnupur, Shraddhanand Besra from Simdega, Sujan Jojo from Kolebira, Harikrishna Singh from Manika, Prakash Ram from Latehar, Kushwaha Shashibhushan Mehta from Panki, Daltonganj. Alok Kumar Chaurasia, Ramchandra Chandravanshi from Bishrampur, Pushpa Devi Bhuyan from Chhatarpur, Kamlesh Kumar Singh from Hussainabad, Satyendranath Tiwari from Garhwa, Bhanu Pratap Shahi from Bhavnathpur have been made candidates.
When are the assembly elections in Jharkhand?
The list of candidates has been released with the signature of party general secretary Arun Singh. The party has announced to field its candidates on 68 out of 81 assembly seats in the state. Voting will be held in the state in two phases on November 13 and November 20. Counting of votes will take place on 23 November.
