Antonio Guterres said, “It (yoga) reveals our common humanity which helps us to understand that despite our differences we are one.” He said, “On this International Day of Yoga, let us come together.” Let us embrace the spirit of oneness and resolve to build a better, more harmonious world for people, planet and ourselves.

PM Modi to lead yoga session at UN Headquarters

Let us inform that on the occasion of Yoga Day, the Prime Minister Narendra Modi He will lead the Yoga Day session to be held at the United Nations Headquarters in New York, USA. On June 21, from 8 am to 9 am, this program will be held at the North Lawn of the United Nations.

This will be the first time for PM Modi to lead a yoga session at the United Nations Headquarters. According to the schedule, PM Modi will be on a state visit to America from 21 to 23 June.

Due to the efforts of India, the United Nations General Assembly approved the proposal of Yoga Day on 11 December 2014 and the date of 21 June was announced to be celebrated as Yoga Day. The first Yoga Day was celebrated in 2015.
