Imran Khan Arrested: His statements have come to the fore hours after the arrest of former Prime Minister of Pakistan and Chief of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan. Imran made serious allegations against Pakistani officials during his appearance in the court today (May 10). Imran said, “I was tortured badly during custody. I was not allowed to go to the washroom even once in 24 hours.”
Imran Khan said in the court, “What is the record that I am not giving, I am afraid that something wrong might happen to me.” Apart from this, Imran said- Dr. Faisal should be allowed to reach me, I do not want what happened to Maqsood Chapdasi to happen to me.
Making sensational allegations against the investigating officers, Imran said, “I was given such injections in custody that could cause my death.” Imran said that they give such injections, by which a person dies slowly.
‘Slapped during interrogation, tortured all night’
Earlier this morning it was told by several journalists that Imran Khan was tortured for the whole night in NAB custody. A journalist said, “Imran Khan was slapped during interrogation, his legs were brutally hit. He was not allowed to sleep the whole night.” At the same time, a pro-Imran leader said that ISI wants to take Imran’s recorded statement.
Why and how did the arrest happen?
Imran Khan was arrested by the Pakistan Rangers on the orders of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) from the Islamabad High Court on the evening of Tuesday, 9 May. Imran had reached there for bail in two cases. Pakistan Rangers took Imran to some unknown place and there he was interrogated at night. It is being told that he has been arrested in the Al Qadir University Trust scam case. He is accused of a scam of about 60 billion Pakistani rupees. His wife Bushra Bibi and her friend Farah Gogi are also accused in the case.
