Pakistan Imran Khan: Former Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan told the Lahore High Court (LHC) on Tuesday (May 2) that an attempt was being made to assassinate him for the third time. Plans are also being prepared for this.
Imran Khan requested the dismissal of all political cases registered against him, claiming that regular appearance in the court would put his life in danger.
Imran Khan requested to cancel the cases registered
Imran Khan has filed a petition in the court requesting the cancellation of all 121 cases registered against him in different cities of the country on different charges like treason, blasphemy, violence and inciting terrorism. According to the petition, these cases have been made on political grounds. Imran Khan appeared before the court amidst tight security.
During the hearing of the case, he requested the court to allow him to speak. The court accepted his request. Khan, the president of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party, told the court that there was a threat to his life.

An official of the Lahore High Court quoted Imran Khan as saying, “My life will be in danger if I attend the court regularly. I survived two assassination attempts. One attempt took place in Punjab’s Wazirabad and the second in the Islamabad judicial complex, where the ISI had taken command of the building.” Imran Khan told the court, “They want to kill me and the third assassination attempt is about to happen.”

Imran Khan said that there was not a single case against him in 70 years of his life and all these cases were filed after he was removed from the post of Prime Minister in April last year. The official said that a five-member bench of the court headed by Judge Ali Bakr Najafi directed Khan to join the police investigation in these cases on May 5.
The official said that the court did not consider Khan’s request to join the police investigation through video link. The court will resume the hearing on May 8. before this, Imran Khan Had claimed that he has identified a total of six people in the country in a video who want to kill him.
