‘If you wanted to end reservation…’, what did Amit Shah say on Rahul Gandhi’s statement of changing the Constitution?

Amit Shah on Constitution Row: Union Home Minister Amit Shah questioned Rahul Gandhi’s statement in which he had said that BJP wants to withdraw reservation for backward classes if elected for the third time. Amit Shah Said on Sunday (April 28) that Rahul Gandhi is only trying to mislead people. Shah said that if BJP was working towards withdrawing reservation for backward classes, it would have done so by now.

Speaking to ANI, the Union Home Minister reiterated that as long as the BJP-led NDA is in power, there will be no reconsideration of reservation or quota for Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes.

Amit Shah said – Rahul Gandhi is lying on reservation

Amit Shah said, “Rahul Gandhi is trying to mislead people by spreading rumors against us. BJP has been in power in this country for 10 years and has been elected twice with full majority. If we are really If they were working with the intention or motivation to end reservation, it would have happened by now. This is nothing but a lie.”

BJP leader Shah said that Narendra Modi has already assured Dalits, backward classes and our tribal brothers and sisters across the country that as long as BJP is in power, no one can dare to take back reservation.

‘Congress increased the reservation for Muslims by snatching it from the backward classes’

Taking a dig at the Congress, the Union Home Minister said, “After coming to power in Karnataka, Congress announced 4 percent reservation for Muslims. Don’t people know from whose quota they have separated 4 percent reservation for the minority community?” In a similar move they announced 5 percent reservation for Muslims after coming to power in Telangana. Congress has always stood against reservation for backward classes and has never had any real intention of providing justice to the tribal communities. Even in Jamia Millia Islamia and Aligarh Muslim University, SC, ST and OBC students are being denied the benefits of reservation.

The Union Home Minister said, “It was PM Modi who did the work of providing justice to our tribal brothers and sisters by appointing Draupadi Murmu to the highest post in the country.” Let us tell you that earlier on April 26, Rahul Gandhi had claimed. It was said that Prime Minister Modi wants to change the Constitution of the country and snatch away the reservation and other rights of backward communities, tribals and Dalits.
